The Best Cartography Websites - The Map Room
Another site that I check out when I can is The Map Room. This is a fascinating blog about maps and anything to do with mapping. The author, Jonathan Crowe, has been blogging since 2003. His frequent posts cover an enormous range of topics, from basic mapping news, to map-related artwork, to satellite imagery and current events.
Jonathan is in tune with the fact that we are all pressed for time, and his pieces are generally short. He makes an immediate case for why you, the reader, may find the information presented useful or interesting. It’s a great place to find interesting book reviews, articles, websites, news and of course maps. Have a look!

Yes, The Map Room is great. I especially like the fact that he talks about cartography - so much of the neo-geographers are all about the digital processing and information side. Important stuff, no doubt. But very few other blogs talk about the aesthetic side of mapping.

I agree. It was great to find someone blogging about the many aspects of mapping and not just the data, software, or cartographic process sides.
